One less coating layer, 45 degrees more safe
The DSC data shows that the PE melting temperature of the three-layer co-extrusion PP/PE/PP film is quite different from the PP melting temperature. When the internal temperature of the lithium battery exceeds 120 °C, the PE layer begins to close, but the PP layer still has a supporting effect and the film will not break until 165 °C. The difference between the heat-closed hole temperature and the heat-melting temperature is as high as 45 °C, which is equivalent to adding a protective layer on the PE film, truly realizing the "thermal shutdown function" and "double closed-hole insurance", with better safety performance.
